Have you ever heard of baptism?

Jesus said that if people come to believe in him, they should show it.

And one of the first things they should do is to be baptised. That means getting wet. In the Holy Land in the early days of Christianity, people were immersed for a moment in a river or lake. It's a sign of washing away your old life and starting afresh.

Instead of baptising people in a river or lake, we have a large "bath" in the building where we meet. If you come to believe in Jesus, you too can be baptised! It is a great way of saying publicly "I believe in Jesus and I want to follow him too!"
