In The Darkness

On that day in the darkness - when you felt all alone,

when the tears covered your face, you gave a silent groan.

Your heart was heavy with sadness - the pain had overflown,

You knelt down on bended knee, at His merciful throne.

There in your room with you was Jesus - hearing your silent prayer,

sitting right there beside you, in a humble chair.

He said "Our Father has not abandoned you - your sin doesn't scare him away,

Your addiction isn't too strong for us,

Let's conquer it today."

"Just open your heart to me - and we can sit here and pray,

I am the Holy Spirit and I can be with you every day."

"My mercies are fresh every morning - I gave my life for you,

So start your day afresh each day and your heart I will renew."

Our God is able to make all grace abound - you have been given a new hope,

So stand and lift your head dear one, there is no need to mope.

Cry no more, fear no more and sin no more

Your freedom is more, your future is more ... HIS LOVE IS MORE!
